Troubleshooting.

Quick fixes for setup, blocking, redirects, Safari, and Chrome.

Sites are not blocked
  • Confirm a MakerTime session is currently active.
  • Check that the domain is listed in Rules.
  • Refresh the page or open a new tab.
  • Confirm the browser extension is enabled.
Redirects are not working
  • Confirm the redirect rule is saved in Rules.
  • Use a domain-style source such as x.com.
  • Use a full destination URL such as https://pro.x.com.
  • Remember redirects only run during active sessions.
Safari cannot see MakerTime
  • Open Safari Settings, then Extensions.
  • Enable MakerTime.
  • Use Edit Websites to allow access where needed.
  • Quit and reopen Safari after changing extension settings.
Chrome is not protected
  • Keep the MakerTime app running.
  • Install or repair the Chrome Helper from MakerTime Setup.
  • Reload Chrome after repairing the helper.
  • Confirm the MakerTime Chrome extension is enabled.
The menu bar icon is hard to find

MakerTime lives in the menu bar. If it is crowded, macOS may hide icons.
