MakerTime

Setup

Set up once. Start from the menu bar.

One Mac app. Safari and Chrome use the same rules.

1. Install and open MakerTime

Open MakerTime. The hand icon appears in the menu bar.

2. Enable Safari
  1. Open Safari Settings.
  2. Go to Extensions.
  3. Enable MakerTime.
  4. Use Edit Websites to allow website access for the pages MakerTime protects.

Safari uses the bundled MakerTime extension.

3. Enable Chrome
  1. Open MakerTime Settings.
  2. Go to Setup.
  3. Click Install / Repair Chrome Helper.
  4. Open Chrome and enable the local MakerTime Chrome extension.
  5. Reload Chrome after installing or repairing the helper.

Chrome uses the local MakerTime helper. Keep the app running.

4. Add rules

Add distracting domains like youtube.com or reddit.com.

Add exceptions with !, like !pro.x.com. Redirects use full URLs.

5. Start a session

Click the hand icon. Choose a length. Press Start.
